About Me

Well to begin with my name is Josie, I’m from the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, and I’m an addict to eating clean. I also work full time for a phone company and go to school full time working on my degree in electronic engineering. So posts might be slow coming and not too personal until that whole shebang is finished (ugh I’m soooooo ready for it to be done already!<——-senioritis all over again right there)

My journey on clean eating began about a year ago due to knowing I was soon to hit 30, having been diagnosed with PCOS in my early 20s, and trying to stay off the medications that go along with PCOS. And now  due to the issues going along with PCOS I am now transitioning to the Paleo/Primal Lifestyle. I support all ways of choosing a healthy lifestyle and believe that everyone has a certain way that works best for them. There is no be all to end all diet for every person. What works for me might not work for my next door neighbor and the guy down the street might not be optimally tuned with what each of us try. Clean-Eatz was originally intended for Clean Eating but will not move more towards Paleo/Primal while still supporting Clean Eating because lets face it whether it’s Paleo/Primal or Clean Eating it’s better than the SAD (Standard American Diet).

I’m also an animal lover. The face below is what’s begging me day in and day out for attention.

Hard to resist isn’t it? Bad part is he knows it.

So anyways that’s Little Guy (original huh?) And he’s got a few cats that run around with him, you’ll see them soon I’m sure.

I started this blog to compile healthy eating articles and recipes, so if it feels like I’m just posting stuff up and not talking (I’m working on that seriously), I’m just in a rush (stupid school) and found something that seemed like it had something good to say about how food affects us.

Also I’m an avid enthusiast of women hitting up the men’s room (aka free weight area) in the gym, you know that scary place you peek into. Just pull up your big girl panties and stroll on in, I promise those sweaty grunters won’t hurt you. Weight lifting has always been part of my life since my teens. Growing up I was horrible at sports and I was that poor geek that no one wanted to pick and put on their team in gym class. Until one fateful day that there was a lovely gym teacher in the 10th grade who took us too the weight room. All of the sudden there was something I was better at than everyone else and since that day I have never looked back.
